PALM DESERT, CA - JANUARY 28, 2008 - Santrum Networks Inc. unveiled an Internet service at the DEMO 08 conference today, declaring the limitation of post-and-posted blogs and the rise of BloCafé, a talkable, co-editable, user manageable, more-than-a-blog "Café" with an innovative pushing message function to bring users back to the community. With its collaborative and initiating features, BloCafé focuses on business markets by providing companies and SOHOs an easy-to-use platform to host training courses, distributors' meetings, VIP clubs, customer services, product launches, and press conferences; as well as delivering a consumer platform that builds closer online social communities.
A formula explains BloCafé thoroughly: BloCafé=(Live Forum + Voice Chat + Blog) * Pushing Message. In addition to posting on "Blogs", to host a Café means you may host live forums to allow all the forum attendees to co-view the file shown on your laptop, even allow attendees to co-edit on the file while you are talking to them. You do not have to check your blog for responses because a pushing message will be sent to you and your members' laptops when there is a new post on your Café. When you create a new forum or a new Blog, your members will receive the pushing message, too.
The patent-filed pushing message technology "is the thing we do to bring regular customers back by telling them what we offer tonight!" Jeremy Wei, CEO of Santrum, stressed when he talked about the original idea behind BloCafé. "We designed a 'vivid' blog model, like a Café, to gather people together to talk, to post notes, to have a meeting, or to see live shows.”
Integrating the real time collaboration and pushing message technology, BloCafé’s benefit to companies is moving collaborative meetings and promotion events online. "You do not have to travel a long way just for collaborating on the outlook of new products or the layout of product brochures, or rent ball rooms at expensive hotels and send invitation cards for product launches, distributors' meetings, or press conferences, "said Wei, explaining the "green" solution of BloCafé,
| "BloCafé is a compelling and creative platform," said Chris Shipley, executive producer of DEMO. "It is a fresh alternative for organizations planning collaborative or promotional events. And it will change the Internet users' behaviors from typing to talking, co-viewing, and co-editing; and from checking messages passively to receiving messages directly." |
BloCafé Beta Trial is spread at DEMO and a commercial version will be available in March. With plans starting from $0, $1, and $75 a month, BloCafé is aimed to provide consumers, SOHOs, and small and medium companies an easy-to-use and affordable collaboration and promotion platform. |
